I grew up using traditional laurel soap in Lebanon, and after moving abroad it was impossible to find authentic quality. ALEPO's 20% bar is the real deal! Hand-stamped, golden outside, rich green inside, and exact home comfort.

Sweating during daily workouts caused frequent breakouts on my back, chest, and shoulders. The antimicrobial nature of the 20% laurel oil completely calmed my skin down. Breakouts on my back are practically gone.

The 20% formulation is the perfect sweet spot between moisturizing olive oil and purifying laurel berry oil. It leaves your skin balanced, fresh, and hydrated after every shower. My favorite bar out of the entire lineup.

I tried washing my hair with this after reading about traditional uses. It took a few washes for my scalp to adjust, but now my hair feels thicker and my scalp is entirely itch-free. Follow with an apple cider vinegar rinse for best results!

You can tell every block is cut and stamped by human hands. It doesn't look like mass-produced factory soap—it has character, history, and incredible performance on dry skin.

Once I realized how fast we were going through our body washes, setting up a recurring delivery for the 20% bars was a no-brainer. Saves money and keeps our bathroom plastic-free.

Used this bar on my arms and legs throughout the summer after long days outdoors. It cools down irritated, sun-baked skin and prevents that dry tightness you usually get after being in the sun or saltwater.

What goes into your bar

Four ingredients. One traditional craft.

The ingredients behind our 20% laurel soap.

Olive oil Olive oil The foundation of every ALEPO bar.

Olive oil (Olea Europaea Fruit Oil) forms the base of this recipe. During soap-making, it becomes Sodium Olivate: the soap made from olive oil.

Laurel berry oil Laurel berry oil The distinctive oil in our laurel blends.

Laurel berry oil (Laurus Nobilis Fruit Oil) accounts for 20% of the oil blend used to make this bar. Its saponified form is Sodium Laurelate.

Clear water in a glass on warm limestone Water Brings the soap-making ingredients together.

Water (Aqua) is used during soap-making. Much of it evaporates while the bars dry, helping the soap become firm.

Illustration of soap mixture and a wooden paddle during soap-making Sodium hydroxide Lye transforms the oils into soap during saponification.

Sodium hydroxide, also called lye, reacts with the oils during saponification. It is consumed in this reaction rather than added as a separate ingredient to the finished bar.

Craft & origin

From Aleppo. With care.

Each bar is shaped by hand and by time, which is why no two look exactly alike: the stamp sits a little differently, and the surface turns golden at its own pace while it dries.

  1. PouredThe soap is poured out and left to set.
  2. CutThe set soap is cut into blocks.
  3. StampedEach bar is stamped with the maker's seal.

FAQ

Good to know.

Can I mix different soaps?

Yes. Add any bars with the + buttons above. Any 3 bars save 5%, any 6 save 10% on a one-time order.

How does Subscribe & save work?

Your chosen bars arrive on the schedule you pick, at the subscription price. Skip, change or cancel from the link in your account and order emails.

What does the percentage mean?

It describes the share of laurel oil in the oil blend, as stated by our supplier. It is not a strength score.

Why does my bar look different from the photo?

Every bar is cut and stamped individually, so colour, edges and the stamp vary naturally.

How long does a bar last?

It depends on how often you use it and how you store it. A bar kept dry between uses on a draining dish lasts longer than one left in water.

When will my order arrive?

Delivery timing and charges are shown at checkout and in our shipping policy.
